Welcome to 1stpickennels where we breed Blue American Staffordshire Terriers and Blue American Pitbull Terriers. We are a new and upcoming kennel in the southern Md. area. Here at 1stpickennels we strive to breed to the pitbull standard. Short thick dogs with low rears. Our dogs have short legs and are very low to the ground. We breed for thick bones, thick chest with brick shaped head. Our dogs are also bred for the classic pitbull temperment. Our dogs are raised around kids and other dogs at birth. The main focus at the 1stpick camp is Razors Edge. Our dogs also have a twist of Gaff/Knolwood in their pedigrees also. No disrespect to any kennel or bloodline out there. 1stpick will try to work with all respected kennels and bloodlines if we think the blood will compliment ours. We know there are great bloodlines everywhere. We feel like the Razor Edge Bloodline is the foundation of what we are trying to do here.

We would like to thank Mena of Highlinekennels for helping us get started. We would like to thank him for answering a million of our questions and giving us the knowledge of pitbulls and the Razor Edge bloodline. We would also like to thank Mini One for that 1stpick male Frank Nitti. 1stpickennels is co-owned and operated by Shawn Walker (Homie) and Terrell Tiggle (Tig). Nitti's attitude is very mild when it comes to kids and dogs. He doesn't growl, bark or bite the kids or dogs.

Nitti is great with all the kids. He runs toward them with his tail wagging as all the pits do.

On the weekends he comes to see his girl Ayana 8. Ayana knows about these bloodlines just like the average person does maybe more.

In the future we want all of his offspring to be just as mild mannered as he is.
